Ken Sprinkle ~
Senior Pastor
Ken was born in Asheville, NC and raised in Knoxville, TN.
He attended Emory & Henry College (B.A.), Asbury Theological Seminary (M.Div),
and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (D.Min). He has been in full-time
ministry since 1975, having served most of that time in Southwest Virginia
and Upper East Tennessee. At Emory & Henry, he was a member of the Concert
Choir (baritone section-head), and at Asbury he sang in the Singing
Seminarians. From 1975 until 1994 he was a member of the Bristol Concert
Choir. He enjoys all kinds of music, and plays guitar, clawhammer banjo,
and a little mandolin. He serves on the Board of Directors of Victorious
Ministry Through Christ, USA, which is a training ministry for pastors and
lay people in ministering to long-standing hurts and
needs in the life of the believer. In his spare time, he works with Boy
Scouts, does some woodworking, has been known to hit a golf ball, and
carries a hunting and fishing license in case an opportunity should present
itself during the proper seasons.
Darrell had been leading the praise team for over 16 years. He has had the privilege of leading a very talented and dedicated group of people over the years, some who have since moved to other ministries.
Darrell and his family have been attending East Stone Gap United Methodist Church since 1977.
